We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
The school has a very generous and active parent body that assists and supports the school in a variety of ways both financially and through volunteer work. Led by the Parent and Friends Association, it holds a variety of family and parents-only events to build community and fundraise. These include Welcome Drinks, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Breakfasts and Stalls and Trivia Nights. The P&F also coordinates the secondhand uniform shop and Book Club. The Class Parent Reps are a subgroup of the P&F Association, that fosters positive relationships and collaboration among parents in each class group. This group has a coordinator who is part of the P&F Executive Team.
The school communicates with parents through the Compass Portal which provides access to the school newsletter, student reports, parent/teacher conferences, and news feeds concerning a range of current events and activities.
